Yoga Instructer

Opening in March 2026 in Downtown Orlando, Devotion Yoga will be a traditionally styled urban sanctuary in Lake Eola, offering a full schedule of Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin and Restorative classes, along with meditation, series & workshops.  No Bikram.  Devotion Yoga will give the student, whether a beginner, advanced or just dropping in, a place to learn and grow within their yoga practice and bring balance to their life. 

Devotion Yoga is currently seeking Yoga Instructors of all levels and backgrounds.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Yoga Instructor to be a part of our opening team. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and various teaching
techniques, with a passion for helping students of all levels improve their physical and mental well-being. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming, safe, and motivating environment while fostering a supportive community within our studio. 

The Yoga Instructor must be certified with knowledge of the history, philosophy, and ethics of yoga.  The Instructor is responsible for preforming yoga poses in precise alignment, using the correct terminology, and safely guiding students through the flow of the practice.  You should also be knowledgeable in the implementation of the chakra system and mindful meditation.

To be successful as a Yoga instructor at Devotion Yoga, you should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be punctual and reliable, arrive prepared and presentable, and offer new and relevant elements to your classes so they do not
become mundane. 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Conduct Classes: Design and lead engaging, safe, and effective yoga classes (e.g., Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin) tailored to the attendees' needs.
  • Demonstrate and Assist: Demonstrate poses (asanas) and provide verbal cues and hands-on adjustments to ensure proper alignment and safety. Be able to visually assess a student’s level of practice.
  • Provide Modifications: Adapt sequences for students with different abilities, injuries, or limitations. Use verbal and hands-on techniques to assist students to achieve precise alignment
  • Move Energy: Posses the ability to move energy through the body. Transform energy during warm-up, build-up and cool down-series
  • Foster Community: Build relationships with students, offering guidance and encouragement to help them meet their personal wellness goals.
  • Maintain Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure the studio space is clean, organized, and safe for all participants.
  • Administrative Duties: Document attendance and communicate class changes to management in a timely manner. 
  • Marketing & Promotion:  Be present online and share your classes to promote your services within the studio.  Collaborate with Devotion Yoga for marketing opportunities.
  • Offer Enhancements:  Suggest and/or conduct retreats, workshops, series or other ideas to increase your business and the overall success of Devotion Yoga. 

Requirements: 

  • Certification: Minimum 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certificate from a recognized program, Yoga Alliance
  • Experience: New and experienced teachers welcome.
  • CPR/AED: Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and yoga philosophy.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Availability: Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends as determined as part of your set schedule.
  • Insurance:  Must carry your own insurance and be able to provide proof of certification.
